Actress Zo? Kravitz, the ultimate cool girl with the wardrobe to match, was never going to opt for a traditional look when it came to her wedding festivities. Just yesterday, en route to her rehearsal dinner in Paris with her fiancé actor Karl Glusman, Kravitz stepped out in a midriff-exposing hand crochet and pearl cocktail dress from the bridal label Danielle Frankel by Danielle Hirsch. Kravitz sported the revealing dress with a pair of high-waisted biker shorts and a bra top with low-heeled white grandma pumps.
Hirsch, who launched her label in 2017, is known for her modern approach to bridal. Her aesthetic, which veers minimalist and menswear inspired, is a bridge between ready-to-wear and the conventional white wedding dress. Hirsch’s beyond-the-alter style has gotten her noticed, too: She is the first bridal designer to be included in the CFDA Vogue Fashion Fund. Plus, her connection to Kravitz was almost fated. In an article about her first collection for Vogue.com back in 2017, Hirsch cited the actress as her ideal muse. “She’s the right amount of yin and yang.” Call it the perfect marriage between designer and bride.
